AFYA is a health information and guidance tool — not a medical device. It does not replace the advice of a qualified doctor, nurse, or other healthcare professional.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using AFYA, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use AFYA. These terms apply to all users, including free and premium subscribers.

2. What AFYA Is (and Is Not)

AFYA is an AI-powered health companion designed to provide general health information, reminders, and guidance for people managing chronic conditions and pregnancy in Africa.

AFYA is not:

A licensed medical device or diagnostic tool
A replacement for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
An emergency response service

Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making health decisions. In an emergency, call your local emergency services immediately.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use AFYA. By using AFYA, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you should use AFYA with the awareness and consent of a parent or guardian.

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorised use of your account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use AFYA for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or scrape AFYA
Share your account with others
Submit false or misleading health information
Use AFYA to provide health advice to third parties for commercial gain

6. Subscription and Billing

AFYA offers a free tier (limited messages per day) and a Premium subscription at ₦2,500/month. Premium subscriptions are billed monthly via Flutterwave. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, and code within AFYA is the property of MOL Capital. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of AFYA without written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AFYA and MOL Capital are not liable for any health outcomes, decisions, or actions taken based on information provided by the AFYA AI. Health information is provided for general guidance only and may not apply to your specific situation.

9. Service Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice to users.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for Nigerian users, and European Union law where applicable for other users.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms as AFYA evolves. We will notify registered users by email of material changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
